General Wedding Information

What time should we arrive?

On Friday, August 8th, check-in is possible from 3pm onwards. Please kindly book your travels in a way that allows you to be on time for the Welcome Dinner beginning at 7pm.

On Saturday, August 9th, please make sure to arrive at 2.30pm at the ceremony place.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, there are dress codes for all 3 days. Please refer to the section “Attire” on this website.

How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP using the RSVP form on this website.

Can I bring a plus-one?

If the invitation is addressed to you only and you would like to bring your partner, please note that we warmly welcome anyone you have been in a committed relationship with for at least 6 months, and whom we as the bride and groom have had the chance to meet at least once.

Please indicate within your RSVP the full name of your plus-one.

Are children invited?

Yes, your children are warmly welcome at our Wedding weekend. We have opted to provide childcare on site on Saturday.

Please indicate within your RSVP the age of your child / children, dietary wishes, and room preferences.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please kindly RSVP no later than April 8th, 2025.

I have confirmed my attendance, but after April 8, 2025, a serious reason has arisen that makes it impossible for me/us to attend – whom should I contact?

Location and Travel

Where is the venue located?

Aethos Ericeira is located at Rua da Estalagem, 2640-255 Encarnação, Portugal.

What is the closest airport?

The closest airport is Lisbon Humberto Delgado (LIS), around 40 minutes car drive from Aethos Ericeira.

Do we need to book a hotel?

No. Please kindly note that we will all stay at Aethos Ericeira together from Friday to Sunday.

Hence, please do not book a hotel on your own. There are no costs for you associated to hotel rooms, food and beverages consumed or guest experiences (Yoga, Surfing, Spa) at Aethos Ericeira.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, there are parking spots available.

Will transportation be provided?

A complimentary shuttle service is available to you on Friday, August 8th, from Lisbon Airport to Aethos Ericeira, and on Sunday, August 10th, back to the Airport.

If you want to make use of that option, please indicate your flight numbers within your RSVP. Alternatively, you are welcome to take a taxi on your own or book a rental car yourself.

The ceremony will be held outdoors, an alternative in case of bad weather conditions would be provided.

How long will the ceremony last?

The wedding ceremony is scheduled to take 1 hour, with 1.5 hours of reception and photos to follow.

Please respect that the bride and groom will spend some 5-10 private minutes directly after the ceremony to enjoy the first moments as a married couple just the two of them.

What type of food will be served?

To reflect the unique location we have chosen, an Atlantic, Mediterranean cuisine will be served.

Of course, dietary restrictions including diet types, intolerances, and allergies as well as requested children’s menus can be considered. Please indicate them within your RSVP.

Is there a party or additional event following the reception?

Gifts and Registry

Where are you registered for gifts?

We do not have curated a wedding registry.

Is there a preferred gift format?

Your presence at our wedding weekend and spending time in person together means the most to us.

However, if you wish to give a gift, a financial contribution to our honeymoon would be very welcome.

Please kindly keep in mind that we would have to transport any additional spacious gift back home (New York).

Where are you registered for gifts?

We do not have curated a wedding registry.
